About Me:

I have been teaching Carnatic music for the last 13 years to my students located at various parts of India and Abroad. My passion for music started during my childhood. I teach students of all ages and enjoy seeing them improve and perform on stage. I impart lessons in English, Hindi and Telugu.

I was introduced to Carnatic Vocal music by my guru Smt Vadlamani Subhadra during 1995 at Secunderabad.
I showed a special liking towards Carnatic Vocal music and within 2 years of learning, I started performing Kacheri’s (concerts).
Till 2007, I performed Kacheri’s across Secunderabad.
In 2008, I moved to Bangalore and started teaching music at DRDO township, CV Raman Nagar. I had the privilege to sing before the then Defence Minister – Mr. AK Antony during one of the DRDO lab inauguration ceremonies.
Since 2014, I have been associated with Urban Raga music school which was founded by Mr. Bidyut Chakrabarty.
I taught more than 50 students at Urban Raga.
I hold a diploma in Carnatic music from Chandigarh University.

For beginner students of all ages, I typically assess their voice through a simple voice test where I see voice tune, pitch, pronunciation, and passion to learn.
Carnatic Vocals, like all other art and skill, need a lot of interest, practice and dedication.
I ensure that the right lesson recordings are shared with the students as per their level and the student just competes with themselves rather than comparing with others.
For kids, Carnatic music improves their right brain and for adults, it helps reducing stress.
